Year of the Quiet Sun [Ludwig Zeller]

File consists of 1 copy of Year of the Quiet Sun, a folio collection of collages and poetry by Chilean visual artist Ludwig Zeller, and 1 unsigned card (with envelope) featuring a quote and illustration from Zeller. The poems in the folio are in Spanish, with English translation by A.F. Moritz. The folio is signed by Zeller.

The folio also includes a page of dedications and thanks, signed by Deborah Barnett, and a description about the collection:

"Prints from photo polymer plates on beautiful Canal paper from The Mill at St Armand. Folios produced from Fabiano, and Strathmore Art Laid; lined with Caress Text papers. Types include Suburban and Twentieth Century.

Three collage and poetry broadsides, each letterpress printed in an edition of 52 with acid-free folio covers wrapping 26 numbered sets, including title page, of which this is 20/26"

Testament for Man [Gilberto Meza]

File consists of 1 softcover copy of Testament for Man, a collection of poems by Mexican poet Gilberto Meza. The poems have been translated from Spanish into English by Theresa Moritz and A. F. Moritz. The book features illustrations by Chilean visual artist Ludwig Zeller.

File consists of 1 chapbook containing poems by A. F. Moritz. The chapbook is staple bound and is the first title in a six-part series labelled Dreadnaught Chapbooks.

The colophon states:

Composed in Linotype Granjon, and handprinted

Series consists of records documenting lectures and presentations given by Dr. Hacking as both a lecturer and invited speaker. Records consist of primarily lecture notes and drafts from the 2000’s, however series also includes records from early in Dr. Hacking’s career and those for the Tarner Lectures at Cambridge University. Subjects of the presentations include autism, the body and corporeality, ultracold atoms, mathematical proof and reasoning.

Series consists of textual records and graphic material documenting Ian Hacking’s personal life and career, with eight files related to the histories of both the Hacking and MacDougall families. Records include a passport, birth and marriage certificates, family snapshots, drawings by his children, as well as correspondence detailing financial contributions made to various charities and initiatives. Ian Hacking’s professional and academic activity is reflected in written and photographic documentation of awards and honours received, including the Killam Prize for the Humanities, the Companion to the Order of Canada, and the Holberg International Memorial Prize. Also included in the series is an autobiographical document written by Dr. Hacking detailing the orientation of his research.

Digital files consist of files documenting his personal life and family [“BUSYNESS”], a folder of biographical information and curriculum vitae, further documentation about the Holberg Prize, and drafts of writings by Judith Baker titled “Trust and Commitment” and “Some Aspects of Reasons and Rationality”.

Records primarily focus on the academic and publishing activity of Dr. Hacking from the early 1980’s to 2010. The material reflects the broad and diverse interests of Dr. Hacking in his work, as well as his exchange with scholars in diverse fields. Records include correspondence, manuscripts and drafts of written works, reprints, lecture notes, and extensive subject files. Additionally, correspondence, press clippings, and photographs chronicle Dr. Hacking’s professional and academic achievements.

Fonds also documents aspects of Dr. Hacking’s personal and family life. These include diaries and notebooks of Dr. Hacking, birth and marriage certificates, drawings by his children, family snapshots, as well as correspondence, photographs and copies of records from the Hacking and MacDougall families.

Fonds consists of Michael Phillips' records relating to his academic writings, including his extensive correspondence with Blake scholars, publishers, and printers as well as records related to lectures, exhibits and research in printmaking.

Photographs are of images of works by Blake, printmaking techniques and tools as well as images used in the catalogue for the Ashmolean Museum's Blake exhibition in 2014.
