Letters from Ministry of Money

File consists of six letters from Don McClanen of the Ministry of Money (Gaithersburg, MD), one of them a faxed copy, and two of them addressed also to Sue Mosteller; a memo from McClanen to Nouwen, Fred Bratman, Jim Wallis, Gordon Cosby, and Dale Stitt with notes from their April 22 meeting at which Nouwen spoke about his wish to build and endow a retreat centre at Dayspring; a faxed copy of a letter from McClanen to Bratman and copies of two letters from Wallis to McClanen, two form letters from McClanen regarding fundraising and workshops organized by the Ministry of Money; typed and edited notes from a retreat for a Ministry of Money group at Daybreak led by Nouwen and Mosteller; brochures about stewardship and Ministry of Money workshops; and agendas and typed notes from these workshops. File also includes a memo from Carl [last name unknown] regarding a telephone call from McClanen, the April 1996 Ministry of Money newsletter, and three versions of a transcript of a talk Nouwen gave on September 16, 1992, on the spirituality of fundraising.

File consists of 16 letters from Sr. Sue Mosteller, one addressed to Nouwen and Nathan Ball, a copy of a letter from Fr. Sabourin and Mosteller's response to it.

File consists of three letters, one on The Green House stationery, and one Christmas form letter addressed to Nouwen and Sr. Sue Mosteller, from Brad Colby.

File consists of letters, including a photo card, from Don McNeill, C.S.C., also including copies of correspondence with Robert P. McNeill, Sue Mosteller, a short typed letter from Nouwen and a short typed letter from Connie Ellis, Nouwen's administrative assistant.

File consists of letters from Rev. James (Jim) Hannah, Director of the Office of Lay Ministry at the Archdiocese of Toronto, including a letter addressed to Sue Mosteller with Hannah's "The Desert will lead you to your heart where I will speak: Reflections on a Spiritual Journeyā€¯.

Miscellaneous materials from L'Arche Daybreak

File consists of a copy of a letter sent by Sr. Sue Mosteller to L. Jackson, Director of the Mental Retardation Resources Branch of the Ministry of Community and Social Services (Government of Ontario) dated March 26, 1979. It is not clear as to the purpose or use Nouwen had for this document.

File consists of an address given by Sr. Sue Mosteller at the French Renewal in the Summer of 1985 titled "Personal Accompaniment", containing brief handwritten notes by Nouwen on the back page, and a handout titled "Accompaniment of New Assistants".

File consists of 14 photographs of members of L'Arche Daybreak, taken at events. The photographs were taken while Nouwen was at Daybreak, but it is unknown why these photographs were scanned and placed together. There is one photograph of Nouwen. Photographs include:
1 - Photograph of the Spirit Movers, a dance group consisting of L'Arche Daybreak core members.
2 - Photograph of three unknown individuals speaking into microphones. They are assistants. Bill van Buren can be seen to their right. The man and woman in the center are wearing sweatshirts with the L'Arche Daybreak 25th Anniversary logo. All of those visible are wearing red scarves.

File consists of 11 audio cassettes from an unknown Faith and Sharing Retreat held, possibly in 1987. Ten of the cassettes, numbered sequentially, feature talks by Jean Vanier. One cassette features a talk by Sue Mosteller.
