The collection consists of movie posters, ads, trading cards, postcards, books, magazines and journals, related to Frank Buck (Frank Howard Buck (1884-1950), a renowned American hunter, animal collector, film director, actor author and producer. The collection also consists of material related to zoo displays and architecture, catalogues and books related to zoo and animal collecting, photographs off various zoo related animals found in different parts of America and a board game. The material is divided into five series:

  2. Chimpanzee performance
  3. Zoo Architecture and display
  4. Miscellaneous printed materials.

Bender, Daniel E.

Chimpanzee Performance

Material in this series consists of black and white and colour postcards of chimpanzees from the St. Louis Zoo and newspapers containing ads and information about training the chimpanzees at the zoo.

Misc. Printed Materials

Material in this series consists of printed material about animals, including elephants and rhinos, the story "Shirley Visits the Zoo," and several magazines.

A.F.W. Plumptre fonds

The fonds serves as a representative sample of the activities carried out, and the relationships engendered, during A.F.W. Plumptre's tenure as principal of Scarborough College from 1965 to 1972. Both official papers and personal documents are included. Official documents include: reports, correspondence, transcripts of speeches, and seating plans. Personal documents include: invitations, cards, photograph albums, clippings, publications, books, and artifacts.

File includes three cards: a thank-you note from Frank and Lilian Harbutt (1968), a retirement card from the Physical Services Department, and a retirement card from "Catherine (alias Christine)".

Correspondence

File includes copies of ten responses to letters sent by Tomorrow to various dignitaries and persons of import, including Jacqueline Kennedy and the President of the United States as well as various magazine editors.

Daily activities

Includes documentation of Onley's installation as the Lieutenant Governor on Sep. 5, and 459 photographs.

Guest books

Series contains seven guest books with signatures and messages written by guests upon visitation to the Lieutenant Governor’s Suite.

Diamond Jubilee Medal

Contains an official letter from David Johnston (28th Governor General of Canada) and certificate presented in an official bound folder.

Abilities

File includes copies of Abilities: Canada's Lifestyle Magazine for People with Disabilities. Includes 1 CD with a photo of Dave Shannon and Chris Watkins (?) at the North Pole.
