Consists of Advisory Board Committee minutes and agendas, course planning files, administrative correspondence, event planning and information, photographs and recordings of lectures and events, working papers, newsletters and Institute publications/handouts.

This accession contains material collected by the University College Archives. Most of the records have been collected and donated over the course of the College's existence, and range from personal records of prominent faculty members (Barker Fairley, George Needler, John McCaul), and various University College departments and committees, to more ephemeral and biographical reference material generally relating to the College. The accession also contains a large amount of photographs and sounds and moving images, as well as artifacts from the College.

Photographs (jpg images) document lectures and displays at the Thomas Fisher Rare Book Library. There is also one DVD of a lecture.

These records document the activities of the Office of the Vice-President, University Relations. The records include various committee agendas and minutes, and correspondence with various external companies regarding projects that the U of T had various interests in. The records contain a large amount number of files from past VPs Carolyn Tuohy and Sheldon Levy.

Consists of one video cassette, VHS format, of the Installation of President Robert Prichard, Oct. 12, 1990. Video was sponsored by the Installation Committee of the Office of the President.

The records document the Undergraduate Program in Women's Studies, the Graduate Collaborative Program in Women's Studies, and the Institute for Women's and Gender Studies. There are also some records from the Women Studies Student Union (W.S.S.U.) . Records include Curriculum Committee, Program Committee, Core Committee, and Executive Committee agenda and minutes. There are also reports as well as internal program review, special events, and project files. The records also consist of posters, videos, and audio tapes documenting various IWSGS events, conferences, lectures, and workshops.

This accession contains records dealing with the establishment of the Institute of Life Course and Aging and associated programs in Gerontology. It also contains publications and reference material that was co-produced, supported or housed by the Institute, such as Issues of an Aging Workforce, Elder Abuse Ontario and Canadian Aging Research Network (CARNET) material. Records also include Institue review files, audit reports, meeting minutes and strategic planning material. Also contains PhD Student records (1997-2009).

Video cassettes (3/4" format) used by the Human Resources Department to orient new staff. Included are : "Campus Tour" 1977, "Welcome to New Staff" from variou Presidents, "This is the University of Toronto" 1980. There are also a number of videos that show role playing during various workshops including "Developing Supervisory Skills" and "The Media and You".

Eighteen binders of slides, photographs, contact sheets document men's and women's intramural and intercollegiate sports from 1979-1986. Approx. 50 team portraits document the Varsity Hockey and Football teams through the 1950s and early 1960s. Also included are a few portraits of early Varsity teams from the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s.
Also includes three films that were used as teaching tools in the Faculty as well as a copy the NFB film Runner, a documentary on Canadian runner Bruce Kidd.

A2004-0020 represents a large accession of material from the Faculty of Physical Education and Health. The vast majority of the records in this accession are from co-curricular activities carried out by the Faculty. While not physically arranged according to function or subject, the records have been intellectually arranged according to their function as a curricular or co-curricular process, identified further by the specific activity they represent. The first series, entitled Faculty Administration, contains curricular materials which include admission files, records on faculty positions and Faculty Council/SPHE materials. Co-curricular series include; Intramurals, which contains both men's and women's intramural records; Intercollegiate Athletics, which holds records from all men's and women's Varsity sports teams; Facilities, Events and Athletics and Recreation Programs, which includes records for the management of the University's sports stadiums, fields, and arenas; and a series for Alumni, which contains a large amount of records on fundraising and awards. Finally, the Graphic Material series contains photographs and negatives of students, student identification cards and faculty and sporting events. Finally, there are approximately 250 videos of football games (1981-2000).

Consists of subject files on programme administration, Faculty of Medicine departments, organizations, foundations, committees, studies, task forces, external reviews, resident's programme, mental health programmes, etc. Also includes minutes of the Executive Committee, including documentation, agreements and communications with Sick Kids Hospital and Health Canada.

Contains a wide range of record from the Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education, including Department of Athletics and Recreation Committee meeting minutes, Council of Athletics and Recreation meeting minutes, FKPE publications, athletics media guides and brochures, Varsity Stadium and Varsity Centre development plans, event and award files, Task Force Report Equal Opportunities records, Task Force Focus on the Future records, and project material for the Goldring Centre for High Performance Sports.

Administrative files including budgets, correspondence, flyers, student lists; curriculum publications, lessons materials (1963), film and photoprints; architectural plans for industrial arts shop classroom.

Records from the Registrar's Office including correspondence and memos with the Dean's Office; committee files such as the Admissions Committee and Committee on Future Directions; collected statistics and statistical reports on admissions, enrollment and graduate employment. There are also photographs and videos documenting the Faculty's history including a video entitled 'We are the Faculty of Education'.

This accession contains one small copy print of the Engineering Society Executive from 1898-99; video tape recordings of the Engineering Alumni and Awards Ceremonies for the years 1989, 1993, 1995-1997; one tape of engineering student production, Skule Nite, for the year 1996. There is also 1 film clip (34 secs) promoting the Engineering Open House, dated in the late 1970s.

This accession consists of photographs and videos documenting the faculty, staff and several events held at the Department of Zoology. Sound recordings consist mainly of recorded lectures from BIO 110. There are also four boxes of administrative files documenting mainly external reviews, planning committees and various reports.

Convocation files, including addresses, media releases and photographs (1975-1985); files relating to sesquicentennial celebrations, Bovey Commission, Art Walk 1984, establishment of the Women's Studies scholarship. Apart from department files, there are also miscellaneous items collected by the Department i.e., New Songs of the U. of T.; invitations, programs and dance cards (1911-1915); class of 1915 directory.

Sound recordings, film and slides documenting fundraising drives at the University of Toronto, 1966-1976. Audio lift from program "Universities Tomorrow" part of the "Where To From Here" series produced by the Media Centre and Global Television (see Media Centre Collection A96-0008 tape V-7113-C). Photographs of students from various departments - each is identified. Photos were possibly taken for a publicity brochure.

Sound cassettes and videos collected by the Department of Public Affairs in the course of their promotion of the University. Both sound and video tapes document speeches, convocations, special events, fundraising and research. There are also video productions promoting the University of Toronto in particular as well as specific areas of higher education. Such is the case in Discovering Science produced by Media Centre to encourage young women to enter the fields of science and engineering and which features many prominent University of Toronto scientists. There is a promotional tape for the Division of Occupational Therapy and one promoting research in the fields of the humanities and social sciences.

VHS and CD copies of two promotions produced to celebrate the 175th anniversary. "175th Anniversary" and "Alumni Video 2003" feature clipped interviews with well known academics and alumni including architect Raymond Moriyama, activist Craig Keilburger, medical scientist Lap-Chee Tsui, filmaker David Cronenberg, politician Paul Martin, ballet dancer Karen Kain, judge Roseli Abella, artist Doris McCarthy, activist Zana Acanda and many more. The "175th Anniversary" was probably used during a gala and has an introduction by Lorne Michaels, producer of Saturday Night Live.

One video documents President Prichard's address at Spring Reunion on June 3, 2000. They contain portraits (Tif files) as well as images of each banner (PDF files). There are 136 people, mainly famous or accomplished alumni and faculty.

Included are files of the science editor, Leonard Bertin (1971-1974), including news releases and news items (1965-1971); files relating to the 50th anniversary of the discovery of insulin (1971-1972); campus tours (1965-1973); and convocation and other addresses, on film (1959-1967). There are also photoprints of faculty, students, visiting lecturers, distinguished guests, and events associated with the University of Toronto; and images of campus grounds and buildings, including aerial views, and events on campus. The University of Toronto Caput hearing on the conduct of Tony Leah and William Schabas in preventing the delivery of an address by urbanologist Edward Banfield at the University on March 12, 1974 on the grounds that he held racist views. The hearings were chaired by Prof. Albert Abel.

This accession contains press releases, media clippings, and video recordings regarding the Lionel Gelber Prize, an international award for distinguished writing in the field of foreign affairs. The accession also contains records dealing with the selection process, including members of the selection committee, and various submissions for the award.

Records documenting the history of the family of Harold Gordon Skilling, including his father, William Watt Skilling; his uncle, Ernest John Skilling; his brothers, William John, Andrew Douglas and Edward Donald; and his wife, Sara (Sally) Bright Skilling.

Sous-fonds I: Skilling family. The emphasis is on William Watt, a shoemaker who emigrated from England to Canada in 1907; on Ernest, who was a very active member of the Ancient Arabic Order of Nobles of the Mystic Shrine; on Donald, who was killed in action during World War I, and on his brother, William, who was wounded but survived.

Sous-fonds II: Sara (Sally) Bright Skilling. The records focus on Sally’s education in the United States, her travels with Gordon in Eastern Europe in the 1960s, and on her love of entertaining. They document the crucial support, intellectual and otherwise, that she provided to Gordon as he pursued his career.

Sous-fonds III: Harold Gordon Skilling. The documentation here is primarily on Gordon’s education and early career and his later years as an expert on Russian and East European politics and on Czechoslovakia, in particular. An extensive combination of correspondence, journals, lectures, writings and photographs reveal much about Skilling’s ideas and his relationships with the principal figures in recent Czech history.

Records documenting Skilling's expertise relating to East European studies with particular emphasis on Czechoslovakia and his role in the the Centre for Russian and East European Studies. Contains addresses and speeches; manuscripts and publications including related correspondence and reviews (books included are "Czechoslovakia's Interruped Revolution", "Charter 77 and Human Rights in Czechoslovakia", and "The Czech Renaissance in the Nineteenth Century"); lecture notes; subject files, mainly of associations; sound recording, video and photographs; University of Toronto administrative files including the Centre for Russian and East European Studies, the Department of Polical Economy, Committee on International Studies as well as the Centre for International Studies.

Consists of RC Quarterly Reviews and Monthly Bulletins, ca. 1927 - 1979. Also included are approximately 50 photographs of various RCM concerts and 1 video-cassette of an RCM opera production, 1970.

Photoprints, illustrations, slides, film and video documenting Professor Rappaport's expertise on diseases of the liver. Most were used for teaching and lectures; some of the graphic records were used in publications. Also included in this accession are some biographical files, addresses and publications.

Correspondence, memoranda, reports, field notes, publications, brochures, maps and films relating to Douglas Pimlott's career as zoologist and professor at the University of Toronto. The records relate to provincial commissions and committees (Newfoundland and Ontario) of which he was a member, and includes files on areas of his major research interest: the environment (oil, pollution, Alaska pipeline, pesticides), water policy, provincial resources, and northern development. The field notes are from his study of the moose population in Newfoundland.

Predominantly consists of records from the Faculty of Education (FEUT) and OISE created prior to the merger in 1996. FEUT records include the records of various FEUT committees such as the Executive Committee (1986-1992), Advisory Board (1968-1995), Faculty Council (1973-1999), Program Development Subcommittee (1974-1995), and the FEUT/OISE Joint Council on Education (1982-1989). Also included are records pertaining to the Institute of Child Study (1979-2000) and to various FEUT centres. OISE records predominantly consist of those of the OISE Board of Governors and Executive Committee (1991-1996). There are also FEUT/OISE merger records for various committees and task forces. Also included are records pertaining to University of Toronto Schools as well as 7 videos.
