Included are numerous files relating to president's committees and presidential advisory committees, including the history and philosophy of science. Also includes: files from the Office of the President dealing with the Committee of Presidents of Universities of Ontario (1964-1967), a small amount of material from the office of D.F. Forster, the Vice-provost and Executive Assistant to the [Acting] President, John H. Sword (1967-1968). One photoprint.

Anderson 2003 accession

Personal records of James E. Anderson, professor of anatomy and anthropology at the University of Toronto, McMaster University, and the State University of New York at Buffalo. Includes field notes, notes, infracranial and cranial forms, reports, tables, correspondence, manuscripts, articles, photographs and slides relating to archaeological sites in Canada and the United States and associated research and writing. Also contains a file on the death of Professor Lawrence Oschinsky of the Department of Anthropology at the University of Toronto.

Consists of records of three University College societies, including Regulations and Rules of Order of the Natural Science Association (1880), minutes, correspondence and records of the University College Literary and Athletic Society (1922-1932, 1941-1942, 1950-1958), and minutes of the Toronto Branch of the English Goethe Society (1947-1971). Also includes photographs showing graduating classes, Literary Society members, view of U.C. grounds, Canadian Officer Training Course, Canadian Expeditionary Force during World War I (1901-1974).

Boeschenstein 1984 accession

Accession consists of correspondence, reports, addresses, articles, interviews, financial records, publications, photoprints and plans documenting Hermann Boeschenstein's involvement with the War Prisoners' Aid of the Young Men's Christian Association during World War II, the Canadian Society for German Relief, and the German Prisoner-of-War associations. Also included is correspondence regarding the writing of plays.

Accession consists of personal and professional correspondence, addresses, manuscripts of unpublished play and novel, records of the Swiss Club of Toronto, condolence cards, reviews of Prof. Boeschenstein’s publications in German language newspapers, memorabilia and photographs.

Typescript draft of article written by Ian Montagnes (ca. 1963) on past Varsity Editors for an unidentified university publication. Article includes short biography on each subject. Also includes related correspondence and contemporary photographs and contact prints taken of The Varsity alumni, many by Jack Marshall.
Accession also includes 1 file on the Southam Newspaper Fellowship and a photograph of the Southam Fellows that appears in the Dec. 1963 issue of the "Varsity Graduate".

Also included in this accession is a slide presentation on the University possibly used as a presentation in recruiting high school students. Includes views of colleges, residences, student activities, sports, and general campus views.

Approximately 3300 colour slides document the University of Toronto during the 1970s and 1980s. These are publicity shots used by the Department of Public Affairs for promotional purposes, slide shows and publications. They are arranged alphabetically by subject and include several files of campus views, buildings, alumni, campus tours, convocation, Hart House, laboratories and students. Specific events documented include Homecoming, the Botany Flower Show, Varsity Fund Telethon, President Ham's Installation, author Ann Hebert's lecture at University College, U of T Day and an event called "University Game".

One video documents President Prichard's address at Spring Reunion on June 3, 2000. A CD containing photographs and a web presentation document the dedication of the Roy Oglesby Room at 21 King's College Circle. Two CDs document the University of Toronto 175th Banners. They contain portraits (Tif files) as well as images of each banner (PDF files). There are 136 people, mainly famous or accomplished alumni and faculty.
