Included are files of the science editor, Leonard Bertin (1971-1974), including news releases and news items (1965-1971); files relating to the 50th anniversary of the discovery of insulin (1971-1972); campus tours (1965-1973); and convocation and other addresses, on film (1959-1967). There are also photoprints of faculty, students, visiting lecturers, distinguished guests, and events associated with the University of Toronto; and images of campus grounds and buildings, including aerial views, and events on campus. Photos of Bob Rae in Box 29, files 31 to 33 (C.U. G. files).

Also included in this accession is a slide presentation on the University possibly used as a presentation in recruiting high school students. Includes views of colleges, residences, student activities, sports, and general campus views.

Approximately 3300 colour slides document the University of Toronto during the 1970s and 1980s. These are publicity shots used by the Department of Public Affairs for promotional purposes, slide shows and publications. They are arranged alphabetically by subject and include several files of campus views, buildings, alumni, campus tours, convocation, Hart House, laboratories and students. Specific events documented include Homecoming, the Botany Flower Show, Varsity Fund Telethon, President Ham's Installation, author Ann Hebert's lecture at University College, U of T Day and an event called "University Game".

One video documents President Prichard's address at Spring Reunion on June 3, 2000. A CD containing photographs and a web presentation document the dedication of the Roy Oglesby Room at 21 King's College Circle. Two CDs document the University of Toronto 175th Banners. They contain portraits (Tif files) as well as images of each banner (PDF files). There are 136 people, mainly famous or accomplished alumni and faculty.

Typescript draft of article written by Ian Montagnes (ca. 1963) on past Varsity Editors for an unidentified university publication. Article includes short biography on each subject. Also includes related correspondence and contemporary photographs and contact prints taken of The Varsity alumni, many by Jack Marshall.
Accession also includes 1 file on the Southam Newspaper Fellowship and a photograph of the Southam Fellows that appears in the Dec. 1963 issue of the "Varsity Graduate".

Records of the Department of Engineering Drawing, consisting of instructions and problems sets for 1st to 4th year courses in engineering problems and drawing (1936-1965); problems in mathematics for 1st and 2nd year students (1944-1963); course notes in mathematics taken by Professor William James Turnbull Wright from Professor Samuel Beatty during the summer of 1933 and the academic years 1934-1936; lantern slides, most of which belonged to Professors Roy Cockburn and C. H. C. Wright (1912-1946). Also included are records of the Department of Civil Engineering, consisting of a report on hydro-electric power on the Bow River by John Bow Challis (191-) and undergraduate project reports (1970) on the problems of parking on the University of Toronto campus.

Sound recordings consist mainly of recorded lectures from BIO 110. There are also four boxes of administrative files documenting mainly external reviews, planning committees and various reports.

Consists of records related to the Department of Zoology's Landscape Committee, specifically their project called "Zoo Woods", which was a green space project situated between the Sidney Smith building and the Ramsey Wright Laboratories. The records in this accession come from one large 3-ring binder and contain correspondence regarding the Zoo Woods project, clippings from 'Zoonews' and print-outs on related landscaping projects, site inventories, and research materials on plant-life to be used in the project. The accession also contains slides documenting the project.

Files from the Office of the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry. They include correspondence with University officials as well as with organizations external to the University such as the Ontario Forestry Association, the Ontario Department of Lands and Forests, the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, CIDA, and the Forester's Club. There are also records pertaining to Faculty planning, curriculum development, and the controversy surrounding the end of the undergraduate program in 1996. Also included are minutes for various Faculty of Forestry committees such as the Council of the Faculty of Forestry (1927-1973), the Faculty Council (1985-1991), the Graduate Department Staff Committee (1971-1972), as well as the Undergraduate and Continuing Education Committee (1978-1984). There are also files regarding teaching, research, and various Faculty projects and initiatives. Further, records consist of exams for the undergraduate program dating from circa 1965 to 1991. Records also include materials concerning the Faculty history and its 75th anniversary.

This accession of records transferred from the Faculty of Information's Inforum Library contains the records of Winifred G. Barnstead, and document her work as the first Director of the Library School at the Ontario College of Education - the original incarnation of the Faculty of Information. The records document Barnstead's work in developing formalized training at the Library School during her tenure from 1928 to 1951. The records include correspondence with libraries and other library schools, UofT staff and faculty, drafts of manuscripts and articles written by Barnstead, School/Faculty informational bulletins, information on course programming and development, as well as some miscellaneous collected material relating generally to librarianship and library studies.
