B2018-0005 contains a file of mimeographed and annotated copies of two one-act plays by Gilbert Norwood: "Brightening the Classics: a college farce in one act" and and "Pandora's Box", written in 1932 and 1933 and produced in the theatre space at the University College Women's Union in 1934, with a covering letter from Ruth Davidson, wife of Edward ("Ted") Moss Davidson (BA, UC 1934) who acted in both plays.

Fonds consists of two accessions:

B1979-0051: Records documenting Dr. Siminovitch's career in the Faculty of Medicine and the broader field of genetics and public health. Included are records of the Department of Medical Genetics, the Sub-Committee on Science Policy of the Long Range Planning Committee of the Faculty of Medicine, and provincial bodies such as the Ontario Council of Health, Task Force on Genetics, the Ontario Cancer Institute, the Ontario Task Force on Health Research Requirements, the Mount Sinai Institute and many more. There are also 7 boxes of editorial case files for the journal Virology, edited by Siminovitch from 1974-1976. [17 boxes, 1968-1979, no finding aid]

B2019-0010: Personal records of Dr. Louis (Lou) Siminovitch documenting the latter part of his career as a molecular biologist and Head of the Samuel Lunenfeld Research Institute at Mount Sinai Hospital. Includes extensive correspondence subject files with colleagues, family, and friends, along with files related to his numerous speaking engagements. [30 boxes, 1963-2017]

B2007-0001: Sketch books for 2nd and 3rd year assignments,as well as one group photograph of 1st year University of Toronto architecture students, 1955, document Ann McJanet's (nee Hill) time as a student in Architecture, 1955-57. There is also a group photograph of residents of Falconer House for 1955-56. Each photograph has a partially completed key that identifies some of the individuals. 1955-1959

Office of the Principal

This series consists of the subject files for this office during Prof. Schabas' tenure as Principal. Files are arranged alphabetically by title and contain correspondence, financial statements, minutes of meetings, notes,etc. File titles include among others the Ministry of Employment and Immigration, Metro Toronto, the Canadian National Exhibition, Canadian Music Council, Guelph Spring Festival, Frederick Harris Music Co,and the New Music School.

Professional correspondence

This series consists of correspondence, reports, and notes relating to his professional activities as a consultant, author, teacher and administrator with the Faculty of Music at the University of Toronto and with other professional associations relating to music. Included, among others, are files relating to the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Chalmers Performing Arts Training Grants Programme, National Orchestra Association, Ontario Federation of Symphony Orchestras, among others. Five files relating to the Musical Performance and Communications Programme are also included (Box 20, files 05 to 09).

Association of Canadian Orchestras

Ezra Schabas was appointed Chair of the Orchestra Openings/Mobility Committee of this Association in 1990. This committee publicizes vacant positions in symphony orchestras. Files in this subseries contain documents relating to the operation of the Association including minutes, correspondence, reports of the Orchestra Openings Committee, the Executive Committee, records relating to programmes, government relations and Orchestra study for the Canada Council.

Ontario Arts Council

Prof. Schabas has been involved with the Ontario Arts Council since the mid 1960's when he was commissioned to write a report on "Ontario Community Orchestras" (1966) which became a blueprint for developing 40 professional and amateur orchestras in Ontario. This series of correspondence, minutes, notes, and reports documents these activities. Included are records on the OAC's Advisory Committee on Touring which resulted in the report "Touring in Ontario" with David Silcox, William Wylie, and Reva Gerstein and led to the formation of the Council's Touring Office; and a copy of "Choral Music in Ontario" with Keith Bissell, which led to the formation of the Ontario Choral Federation, Ontario Youth Choir and annual province-wide 'Choirs in Contact'.
