It was accumulated by Flahiff in the course of writing of "Always Someone to Kill the Doves: A Life of Sheila Watson", published by NeWest Press, in 2005. The material consists predominantly of correspondence between Marshall McLuhan and Wilfred Watson and Marshall McLuhan and Sheila Watson. The material copied ranges in date from 1959-1979, predominately 1962-1979.
