This collection consists of material from the professional life of James Bacque, including drafts, research materials, notes, and correspondence. The majority of this material relates to Bacque’s works of non-fiction: Other Losses (1989), Crimes and Mercies (1997), and Spirit Builders (2016); as well as his works of fiction The Lonely Ones (1969), A Man of Talent (1972), The Queen Comes to Minnicog (1979), and Our Fathers’ War (2006). Also included in this accession is extensive correspondence, mainly relating to his professional life and work, as well as material working with publishing houses Seal Books and Newpress.
