Scope and content
Item consists of 1 audio cassette featuring a talk given to assistants at l'Arche Daybreak over Labour Day Weekend in September 1983.
Content notes (or transcription) from beginning of the recording: "Unless a grain of wheat falls on the ground and dies, it remains a single grain. But if it dies it yields a large harvest...If anyone serves me, my Father will honor them." There is something important about our way of life that makes it essential that I announce our vision. I picked this reading because it is the essence of what we are called to live as L'Arche and L'Arche's call in the world. The parable about the grain is radically different from what our world tells us about where we will find life.
