Immediate source of acquisition

Collected and donated by Lee Bartel, Professor Emeritus of the Faculty of Music, University of Toronto.

Arrangement

Stamps were originally housed in simple, black frames, some of which contained multiple different stamps, and others which featured a sheet of one particular stamp. The stamps were removed from the frames for preservation, but the presentation and arrangement by Lee Bartel was maintained. Each previously-framed page of stamps is assigned a unique alphabetic code (A, B, C, etc.) and stamps are numbered sequentially within each page.
