Scope and content

File consists of one letter from Br. M. Bernardin, O.C.S.O., writing from Germany, expressing appreciation for Nouwen's writing, especially The Genesee Diary. He writes that he heard Nouwen does not yet have a copy of the German translation of The Genesee Diary, and says he is sending a copy to Nouwen. He says the success of the book is overwhelming and writes "Perhaps, in the United States, you are accustomed to other numbers, but for our German relations, it is a very big number that your book had within half a year 3 impressions with 5.000 copies each."
