Gaffney collected the material and sent it to the Archives as a result of the 2010-2011 Letter Project.
From Gaffney: "I met Henri at Yale Divinity School in his first year there. At the time I was still a Roman Catholic priest, studying for my S.T.M. We hit it off right away. I later served as his TA and we even taught a course together on ministry outside the usual confines. Later he graciously allowed me to write a book with him titled Aging: the fulfillment of life. He was instrumental in convincing Rome that I was a candidate for laicization and so our friendship continued until the day of his death in Holland."
