Scope and content
Series consist of records reflecting Nevitte’s activities as a researcher and consultant. It primarily covers 4 major research projects that explore the political, economic, social, and cultural values and attitudes of the Canadian public across time: the Policy Research Secretariat-SSHRC Project on Trends (1998 – 1999), the World Values Survey (since 1981), the Political Ethics Survey (since 1993), and the Canadian Election Study (since 1965). The series also covers projects that Nevitte worked on in collaboration with international and domestic NGOs as well as a few miscellaneous projects. The records relate to both the administration of these projects and their findings. Included are materials such as contracts, grant applications, technical documentation, questionnaires, data printouts and analyses, draft and final reports, invoices and financial reports, background materials, and related correspondence.
Series is subdivided thematically into 6 subseries: Canadian Election Study, International Election and Democracy Projects, Political Ethics in Canada, Trends Project, World Values Survey, and Miscellaneous Projects.
