File contains the master vocal and full scores for Requiem, and a bound copy of the vocal score, which was "presented to Dr. Derek Holman on October 21, 2001 on the occasion of Chrys Bentley's 25th anniversary as artistic director of the Mississauga Choral Society, in anticipation of the premiere performance of the work." Requiem was commissioned by the Mississauga Choral Society to mark Bentley's twenty-fifth season as its artistic director. Funding for the commission was assisted by grants from the Ontario Arts Council, the Laidlaw Foundation, and the Vern and Elfrieda Heinrichs Foundation.
