History
Dr. Grace Workman Scott, graduated from biology at the University of Toronto with her B.A. in 1936, her M.A. in 1939 and her Ph.D. in 1943. From 1936 to 1949 she also held various positions within the University as a demonstrator and lecturer. After leaving the university and her research for over a decade, she returned in 1962 to become the associate of Dr. Kenneth Fisher, a well known biologist and respected for his research in mammalian hibernation. After his death in 1970, Scott continued to publish their work based on their research together during the previous decade. Grace Workman Scott died in Toronto on 16 July 2007 in her 94th year.
