Luckyj as a professor in and chair of the Department of Slavic Studies at the University of Toronto. Included is a comprehensive account of the controversy over the establishment of the Chair of Ukrainian Studies at the University of Toronto (1979-1980). Also present are Professor Luckyj's diaries, his memoirs (1987), and the memoirs of his paternal grandfather (1942) and his mother (1970).
