History
Born January 18, 1979 in Brantford, Ontario, H. L. (Harold Linscott) Vansickle was playing violin with theatre orchestras by the age of 15, first at the Grand Opera House theatre in Toronto and later at The Rex theatre. He was appointed director of the "Capitolians" Orchestra at Brantford's Temple Theatre in 1925. Vansickle also performed with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (1922-1925) and directed the Brantford Symphony Orchestra (late 1940s-1951). He passed away in Brantford on March 20, 1979.
