History
Helen Weinzweig was born May 21, 1915, in Radom, Poland, emigrating to Canada in 1924. Her parents were Joseph and Lily (a hairdresser, maiden name Wekselman) Tenenbaum. On July 19, 1940 she married Canadian composer John Weinzweig, and together they have two sons, Paul and Daniel. She died in February of 2010 at the age of 94. Her works include: Passing Ceremony; Basic Black with Pearls; A View From the Roof, and many short stories.
