Wild was raised in Vancouver and graduated from the University of British Columbia. She started her career in theatre, at Touchstone Theatre (1975-1976) and Headlines Theater (1980-1985). Later films include A Place Called Chiapas (1998), Fix: The Story Of An Addicted City (2002), and Koneline: Our Beautiful Land (2016).
