The bound diaries series contains custom diaries and a select number of pocket diaries that were rebound and for which Coutts had custom enclosures built. Most of the volumes were edited for content during Coutts’ lifetime and constitute a retrospective of his time in office with two prominent Liberal Prime Ministers. The diaries after 1991 include numerous photographs and inserted textual records, including personal correspondence, newspaper clippings and other keepsakes as well as handwritten and typed diary entries.
