        History

        Ethelbert Lincoln Hill was born in 1863 and received his BA from University College in 1888. He was a librarian in Guelph, Calgary and Edmonton and died on 10 January, 1960 at age 96. His daughter was Marjorie Hill, the first woman to graduate in architecture from the University of Toronto (1920); a portion of her personal records are in the U of T Archives.
