Scope and content

File consists of individual chapters and pages from manuscripts for books which were loose and not found with their larger whole. In some cases, pagination may indicate which manuscript they belong with. In many cases, the chapters or pages contain notes pinned to them as well as handwritten annotations. Some are original typescripts; others are early photocopies or carbon copies.

File is arranged according to the order in which the items were found, however, incomplete chapters are filed at the beginning and pages at the end.

File folder 9-11 includes a pamphlet on “Extension Courses in the Christian Faith,” taught to members of the lay community at Trinity and Wycliffe Colleges by Rev. Ward and Dean C. R, Fielding, on Thursday evenings, October 15th to December 3rd, 1953. Rev. Ward’s course was “The Synoptic Gospels.”

File folders 10-1 and 10-2, ostensibly “The Vocation of Anglicanism,” may constitute chapters of “Listen! God’s Call to His People” (files 10 and 11). Folder 10-1 includes 2 drafts, one earlier and one later (with proofs) as well as shorthand notes. Manuscript in folder 10-2 is more polished, perhaps suitable for sending to a publisher.
