        Elise Levine is a writer and educator, and has worked as a managing editor, freelance copy editor, and production editor. Levine was born in Toronto. She received a diploma for Book and Magazine Publishing from Centennial College in 1988, a BA in English Literature from the University of Toronto in 1989, and an MFA in Writing Program – Fiction, from the Vermont College of Fine Arts in 2008. Her work has appeared in numerous publications including Grain, The Gettysburg Review, The Antigonish Review, and Best Canadian Stories. Levine has worked at John Hopkins University as the Director of the MA in Writing Program. She has also worked as a Lecturer at Chatham University’s low-residency MFA program, and an Assistant Professor of Creative Writing at Dickinson College, amongst other educational roles. Levine has presented at several conferences and participated as a panelist, including the Baltimore Writers Conference and the CityLit Stage at the Baltimore Book Festival in 2019.
