Scope and content

This series consists of personal letters written by Mabel Cartwright and received from her parents, siblings, and relatives from an early age and throughout her life. There are also some photographs of Stephen and his room in Japan as well as images of a house at St. Paul’s Mission being moved to a different location. The letters reveal her close connection with her family members, various friends, and former St. Hilda’s students and show her diverse interests.
