Scope and content
Series consists of recordings made by or collected by Setar Faithi. Some of the recordings detail either Peshmerga or Komala activities either in Kurdistan (Iraqi or Iranian) or Canada. This includes Komala Day celebrations, International Women's Day events, and other party activities. Many of the video recordings also document Kurdish life both in Kurdistan and in the Diaspora (including in Canada). Those recordings are often of personal family events and include: weddings, birthdays, and other celebrations.
The series also includes a significant number of concerts and music programs, some filmed live, and others of the television. Many of the tapes also include (either wholly or in part) Iranian or Kurdish television programs taped off of the television.
