        History

        Myler Wilkinson was born in Vancouver on April 5th, 1953.

        He earned an undergraduate and graduate degree in literature from Simon Fraser University and completed a PhD from McGill University.

        Myler and his wife held teaching appointments at Selkirk College, and in 1999, they spearheaded the creation of the Mir Centre for Peace. He would later continue to lecture at Simon Fraser University.

        An award-winning author and editor, his accolades include the 2014 Fiddlehead Literary Journal award for Best Short Fiction. His works have been featured in many journals and anthologies.

        Myler died on December 4, 2020, in Grand Forks, British Columbia.
