General note
A paraphrased explanation (from the creator) of what the "slave auction" was: Professional dancers were hired and each engineering faculty would bid on them. All proceeds went to charity (United Way/United Appeal). The event was usually held in a vacant lecture hall around noon and the location was kept secret until 30-60 minutes before the event.
