Oral History Interview by Elizabeth Wilson. Discusses family background and his education in New Zealand through post-retirement work in architectural restoration and conservation. Focusses on Toronto years, 1923-1973, including his architectural education and apprenticeship, and appointment to the School of Architecture. Other subjects covered include the effects of the depression on the architectural profession, work on the Planning Board of the City of Toronto and on the architectural design competition for Toronto's City Hall.
