Chronological file contents include letters to and from Davis related to a variety of subjects including mathematics, activism, editorial work on publications such as The Mathematical Intelligencer, some evaluations of peers, and letters from students. Starting in 1979, the material spans a sixteen-year period, however omits the years between 1980 and 1982.
