Biographical history

George Hawken (1946-2016) was a professor at the Daniels Faculty of Architecture Landscape and Design at the University of Toronto. He was an intaglio printmaker and published his Die Verwandlung: Kafka ([1982]), also known as his “Metamorphosis Folio.”

This collection includes copper plates as well as various states of his work Die Verwandlung: Kafka ([1982]). It also includes prints of self-portraits, “Kevin,” and Wayson Choi (1939-2019).
