Herman Geiger-Torel directed a Canadian Opera Company (COC) production of Hänsel und Gretel in English in March 1957 with Nicholas Goldschmidt and Mario Bernardi, conductors; Hans Berends, set designer; and Suzanne Mess, costume designer.
Performers: Angela Antonelli, Marie Gauley, Contance Fisher, Irene Loosberg, Bernard Turgeon, Patricia Rideout, Sheila Piercy, Milla Andrew.
