      Note

A letter from Dean George Rupp in August, 1982 promised Nouwen that he would have accommodations in the Center for the Study of World Religions for the months of February, March and April of 1983 at 42 Francis Avenue in Cambridge, MA. From April 1983 to December 1983, Nouwen then lived in university-owned accommodations close to campus, at 11A Ware Street in Apartment #21. In late June, 1984, it appears that Nouwen moved into the Carriage House, part of the Center for the Study of World Religions in the summer of 1984. These accommodations can be found at 56 Francis Avenue.
