Scope and content
File consists of a bound volume of typed, handwritten and annotated lecture notes by Nouwen for Discipline and Discipleship, held during the fall semester of 1973. This bound copy is volume II of II.
The file also consists of a letter dated April 25, 1973 from Walter L. Parr, Jr. regarding papers by Nouwen which he received from Gary Cash. The papers he comments on appear to have been the articles Nouwen distributed to this class, and articles which Nouwen hoped to develop into a book (most likely 'Reaching Out'). Parr mentions Nouwen's themes of "oneness", "unity", "waiting" and eschatology.
