Scope and content

Ritsema apologizes for a delayed reply; the first few months of the year have been occupied with multiple trips and caring for the worsening Fröbe-Kapteyn. Ritsema shares that she recently suffered a minor stroke [not medically confirmed] that has diminished her mental faculties, and her kidneys are also damaged. He hopes Zuckerkandl can terminate his teaching duties so that he can concentrate on his own work and be a more active participant at Eranos. Despite Fröbe-Kapteyn’s condition, the yearly conference will still be taking place in the summer. Postscript asks if Zuckerkandl is aware of Ernest Ansermet’s recent publication “Les fondements de la musique dans le conscience humaine.”
