At Deffoux’s requests, sends excerpts of selected letters from Zola to the Goncourt brothers, to be published in La Revue de Paris of 1st April. Went to Southern France; worked at the Bibliothèque Méjane and found interesting material. Will tell him in person, as he hopes to see Deffoux very soon.

Does not have one to offer; is offering instead an article on war dating from 1900 or 1901, probably written for an American magazine, and still unpublished in France. Is sending a copy of a letter from Léon Daudet on La Débâcle. Is looking forward to discuss Deffoux’s manuscript.

Le Secrétaire général» - with an excerpt of the «Journal officiel du 18 novembre 1917» (typed) and clippings from the «Journal officiel du 28 novembre 1928». Because of a typo, the travellers using trains were told not to step out of the train when it was completely stopped (while it should have read, when it was not completely stopped). The typo was rectified eleven years after the first publication. LeBlond suggests that Deffoux could use this information for an amusing few lines in L’Oeuvre.

Peycelon lists LeBlond’s accomplishments as Secrétaire général de l’administration des Journaux officiels, since 1919. In addition, LeBlond is a distinguished man of letters.
