File consists of a bound volume of handwritten lecture notes by Nouwen as well as typed notes and source articles.
Materials in this bound volume relevant to Nouwen's 1966 and 1967 Psychology of Religion courses include:

• Section I of the bound volume titled "Concerning Allport's "Religion and Prejudice"" which includes typed summaries of work by Allport, Monty Kuka and Randy Fasnacht.
  -parts of Section II of the bound volume titled " General Sources" which includes typed excerpts from works by Mircea Eliade, Erich Fromm, Jung, and Erich Neumann.
  -parts of Section III of the bound volume titled "Religious Growth in Psychological Perspective: outlines and lecture notes" including a typed summary of works by Erik H. Erikson, Edgar Z. Friedenberg,and Charles W. Stewart, notes on Gordon Allport, as well as handwritten and typed lecture notes by Nouwen on the subject of adolescent religion.

Title based on contents of the file.
It appears that this collection of materials were bound after 1972 when Nouwen had settled at Yale. The title page of the bound volume states "Yale Divinity School" under Nouwen's name.
This bound volume also contains materials for Nouwen's other courses on Pastoral Care and Christian Spirituality.
Some of the typed materials may be the product of Nouwen's time at the Menninger Clinic in Topeka, Kansas between 1964 and 1966.
