Scope and content

Item consists of a sound recording of Nouwen speaking at the Marguerite Bourgeoys Family Service Annual General Meeting in Toronto. Nouwen spoke on the spiritual aspects of fundraising. Nouwen states that, in the gospel, fundraising is a form of ministry, and those who donate are offered an opportunity to participate in a vision: as opposed to begging, which is done in times of crisis. The spirit of the individual donating is enriched by the sharing of resources.
