Doug Riley formed the 16-piece vocal and instrumental ensemble "Dr Music" or "Doctor Music" in 1969; they disbanded shortly after their fourth album was released in 1977. They were one of the guests on Anne Murray's 4-episode CBC-TV special in 1971 for which Rick Wilkins wrote various arrangements.
