File consists of correspondence and other material, mainly from Dr. Mark McGowan, regarding Nouwen giving four lectures for the Christianity and the Secular World course at St. Michael's College, University of Toronto. The theme of Nouwen's lectures was Christianity and the Spiritual Life. His four lectures were entitled "Spiritual Identity: Belonging to the World, Life as Survival," "Belonging to God: Being the Beloved," "Life of the Beloved: The Spiritual Dynamics of Belonging to God," and "Disciplines of the Spiritual Life for the Beloved." Includes the course syllabus for Spring 1991 and Winter 1992 and the Christianity and Culture course calendar for 1991-1992.
