Records in this series relate to Ramkhalawansingh’s work for the Work Group on Multicultural Programs of the Toronto Board of Education from late 1973 to 1976, which led to the implementation of many programs responsive to the changing ethno-racial diversity of the City's school population. Also included are records from the Board’s Women’s Advisory Committee in relation to affirmative action initiatives. Files include meeting minutes, research reports, and subject files accumulated over the course of her work. Topics include English as a Second Language (ESL), school-community relations, race relations, affirmative action and women’s employment at the Board.
