The Japanese Taiko Drumming Ensemble is one of the Global Music Ensembles at the University of Toronto Faculty of Music. It was first listed in the 2005-2006 academic calendar as a stand-alone ensemble under the direction of Kiyoshi (Gary) Nagata, but started as one of the "World Music Ensembles" in 1997.
