Content notes (or transcription) from beginning of the recording: It’s important that each day you gather your people into your heart. I try to pray daily for all our communities in the world by name, all 59 of them! I love it and I hate it at the same time. It’s hard to do because many communities go through difficult times. But the beauty is there too. Why do we come to L’Arche? Because we wanted to be with people with handicaps and to do something good. If we stay, then we are asked to do that which we may not readily choose to do and which we may not initially be good at. Then comes the question of the challenge and pain. Is this worth it? I have been dragged kicking and screaming through L’Arche for the last ten years!
