File consists of a transcription disc, issued by MacGregor Transcriptions, recorded in Canada. "A program of Canada" was a musical entertainment series that aimed at building a closer relationship between Canada and the United States. The program with Edward G. Robinson was released April 19, 1948 and includes an interview with Robinson about his stay in Canada during World War Two, as well as five songs sung by the Leslie Bell Singers: Strange music; Skip to my Lou; Quand j'étais chez mon père; Greek folksong; and When day is done. The program with Gregory Peck was released April 15, 1948 and includes an interview with Peck about post-war economic problems in Canada. The Leslie Bell Singers performed I wish I were single again; Dark valley; We could make such wonderful music together; and Frère Jacques.
