Scope and content

File consists of correspondences between Eileen Taker and O'Neill-Karch. Specifically, items in file include:

  • Manuscript letter from ET (July 18, 1962), 4 pages. The most interesting bit for SMC is what she learned when she had dinner with MO's mother, while MO was in Europe: "She told me that some friends phoned and told her that they were talking French outside St. Basil's when a priest came and asked them if they knew Mrs. O'Neill and Mariel. They told your mother that his name was Father Roach and she couldn't figure out who it was. When I told her it was probably Father Rush (CSB) everything became clear. Can't you just imagine Father Rush wandering up to anyone he heard talking French?"
