File consists of a programme from the Fifteenth Annual Spirituality Convocation for the Center for Spiritual Development of the Archdiocese of New York, titled "The Year of the Father." The Center was celebrating its own twentieth anniversary (1979-1999), and the theme was "The Spirit of Truth: The Revelation of the Father." As said in the introductory letter in the program, by Ann Marie Wallace, the posters for the event featured the painting "The Prodigal Son" by Rembrandt, which was popularized in Nouwen's book. A workshop in the conference was about Nouwen and titled "Henri Nouwen and Thomas Merton: Kindred Spirits?" and was given by Sr. Marie Goldstein, R.S.H.M., Faculty, School of Spirituality Retreat Director and Spiritual Director.
