Note
Introduction to the Spiritual Life was an intensive lecture course offered between July 8 and 19, 1985 at Boston College, following Nouwen's resignation from Harvard. The course was held Monday to Friday, 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. The material of the course was drawn almost verbatim from the lecture courses offered by Nouwen in 1984 and 1985, with the typed lecture summary notes only being slightly modified. Nouwen's teaching assistants for this course were Jeff and Ann Dixon Coppage, David LeBlanc, Priscilla Pano, Ruby Hugh, Barbara Ernst and Peter Weiskel.
