Irene Jessner, soprano, was born in Vienna, Austria August 28, 1901 and died in Toronto, Ontario January 10, 1994. She taught at the University of Toronto Faculty of Music from 1952 to 1986, where her students included Teresa Stratas, Leonard Bilodeau, Mary Lou Fallis, and Portia White.
