History
James Kippen joined the University of Toronto Faculty of Music in January 1990, where he is now Professor Emeritus of Ethnomusicology (since 2019). During his time on the Faculty, he also served as Coordinator of the History and Culture of Music division (1994-1996, 2000-2003, 2012-2014); Coordinator of Graduate studies (1998-1999); Coordinator of Arts and Science division (2000-2003, 2004-2006, 2007-2008); Coordinator of Ethnomusicology and World Music Ensembles (2008-2013).
