Scope and content

Zuckerkandl laments that he is far away from Eranos and cannot be of assistance or properly convey his feelings in writing [likely in reference to Olga Fröbe-Kapteyn’s delicate condition]. He has high expectations for the upcoming Eranos conference and is particularly pleased that [Wladimir] Weidlé will be participating. He then discusses his and his wife’s [Marianne] plans for the summer, which include finishing work on the second volume of Sound and Symbol [Man the Musician] and a prolonged stay in Ascona to prepare for an eventual relocation [approximately within a year].
